What's New at Lily Hill Farm & Learning Center

Spring 2008

Spring is here...

It was a ferocious winter with much too much cold and snow. It seemed overcast for weeks at a time and although it might be just my imagination, it seemed terribly unfair to be dumped on so often.

We had little snow or serious cold this winter.

The peach, pear, and plum trees are in bloom and beautiful. There's nothing like a cloud of pink and white flowers surrounding you to soften the soul and remind you of our most constant worker--Mother Nature!

Peach trees in the Kitchen Garden

Bed #1 in the Greenhouse

The greenhouse is planted, and the spring lettuces, parsley, kohlrabi, mesclun, cabbage, tomatoes, and peas are coming up. The little frog carries a sign letting people know this is the Garden of Weedin'.
