Recent
News!!
On
August 25, 2002 we were surprised and delighted by the birth
of Sarah's calf, a female, named Clara. She is healthy, strong,
and beautiful.
AND
on September 18, Iris gave birth to a male calf, temporarily
named Thor, because he was born during a thunderstorm!

Tomatoes
and corn are pouring into the kitchen and the melons are so
sweet you can almost eat the rind. In spite of a hot, hot summer
with no rain for weeks, everything is at its peak and a walk through
the kitchen is an herbal aromatherapy experience! |
| In
late June we took the roof off over the Cafe, Pumpkin Patch, and
Lettuce Bed rooms to start work on a second floor. Of course,
it had to rain and we all spent an entire night, soaked to the
skin, manning buckets, mops and brooms, trying to limit the damage!
The new addition will allow us to move family
members upstairs, which will free up our retreat rooms once more. |

Kelly
Anne Wood has finally gotten her loom up and running and
has begun making some wonderful, old-fashioned woven rugs.
Over the past year she has also been making soap for us and
now has both rugs and soaps available to buy. If you
are looking for some unique and useful Christmas gifts this
fall, consider a sturdy and beautiful rug, or one of the soaps,
especially the lavender or oatmeal soap.
The
web site is finally up and running! Linda
Gabriel visited here, took a few photos, then went home
and put it all together. Its not quite finished but
you can find out whats happening at the farm, in the
garden, or with the classes any time of the day or night.
Your suggestions and comments are welcome as we continue to
develop the site.
In September, www.lilyhillfarm.org became an award winning
website!
